Well, anytime you mess with the natural order of the body you are going to get some side effects. And all drugs have side effects. Trans people taking hormones have a massively higher risk of heart disease. Something for people to think about before taking the medications.

Heart Disease Risk Skyrockets In Trans People Taking Hormones Study Finds

Males on transgender hormones were 93% more likely to develop a heart issue than men not taking hormones.

The risk of heart disease spikes significantly when taking cross-sex hormones, according to a Danish study published in August.

The study, published in the European Journal of Endocrinology, looked at 2,671 transgender male and female individuals in their early to mid-twenties, who were taking cross-sex hormones and based in Denmark, over a five-year period, according to The Telegraph. The results of the research revealed that both transgender men and women developed a “significantly increased risk” of developing high blood pressure and high cholesterol and were more likely to have heart attacks and strokes.

Males on transgender hormones were 93% more likely to develop a heart issue than men not taking hormones and 73% more likely than biological women, according to The Telegraph. Biological women taking testosterone were found to be 63% more likely to have heart disease than women not taking hormone treatments and have over twice the risk of developing a heart condition as biological men.

It is probably the amounts they are taking..

Menopausal women taking Estrogen and even Testosterone can help and actually keep them
Healthier, including heart health. The problem lies when people take way over what is normal for their gender (at birth).

What medications do not have these risks?

Benadryl

09-24-2020 FDA Drug Safety Communication

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning that taking higher than recommended doses of the common over-the-counter (OTC) allergy medicine diphenhydramine (Benadryl) can lead to serious heart problems, seizures, coma, or even death.

That's what I said in the opening post.
All medicines have side effects.
Also - when you mess with the natural order ... things are going to go wrong.

That would be an overdose as explained on the package warning.

Tylenol will wreck your liver and you die, if you exceed rec'd amounts.

I think this study shows amounts that actually work to change sexual characteristics, perhaps?

I cant take estrogens in any amount anymore due to cancer and stroke risks.

So I'm not surprised by this.

The transgender people and their families are the ones pushing for the gender affirming therapy. Their bodies, their choice.

Totally right. It's just odd to see someone proud of arguing for others to have the right to kill their kids. But you do you.

Perhaps this study will provide more data to parents making decisions for the children.

It's a good thing.

I am not arguing the right for others to kill their kids, I am arguing for the right for transpeople to choose whatever means or ways they want to be whoever they want to be. Their bodies, their choices.

I never said it was a good thing and the decision is completely theirs and nobody else.

So you support a parent that would choose to give their child medications that may kill them because they said they want to be a girl or a boy and aren't born with that kind of physiology?

Then again the medical professionals would be monitoring the child closely and could stop the therapy immediately should problems arise. You seem to think that all children on gender affirming hormones will all react the same way. It doesn't work that way, everyone does not react the same to medications.
