It damaged the construction equipment. The attack may have been against the Jews building it (or it may have been against both the jews building it and the pier itself) but the fact is that if you attack and kill those who are building it, then you are attacking the pier because the pier can't get built. The moron militants in Gaza are, once again, being self destructive. They'll attack the 'humanitarian pier' and then they'll whine that they don't have food. Darwin Award.
