OK maybe it is as they say related to some form of volcanism. Seems to me if there were volcanos on the moon then the moon is probably not an artificial hollow satellite as some say. But I am not a geologist.

What do you think?

That is an interesting find.
If it turns out to be an area rich in thorium/uranium like it says it the article-that could be pretty useful for powering a future moonbase.
They should send a probe that can scan or drill samples from the area.
We already know there is water and building materials-if there is a source of power generating minerals, that should make colonising the moon more viable.

I say the Moon is not an artificial hollow satellite as some say - but does have extensive signs of past volcanism.

After skimming through the article, it just seems like so many things foreign to us, it's still speculation as to the details.

I have to say at this point in human progression, and with an ISS active and seemingly efficient, why haven't we developed some sort of station on the moon? Below is some basic info the ISS.

The International Space Station (ISS) took 10 years and more than 30 missions to assemble. It is the result of unprecedented scientific and engineering collaboration among five space agencies representing 15 countries. The space station is approximately the size of a football field: a 460-ton, permanently crewed platform orbiting 250 miles above Earth. It is about four times as large as the Russian space station Mir and five times as large as the U.S. Skylab.
www.issnationallab.org...

I know nut moch about the moon, but that image alone doesn't match what they seem to be saying about the eruptions. And a 'science' article with "seemed" and "suggests" "may mean" and "mysterious" doesn't give me confidence.

Definitely something and I'm glad they're paying attention to the area but I sure wish they'd do some hands on studies instead of speculation and summarizing.

I'm not so sure they haven't. It's not like any government is up front on projects until they have to be.

One argument absolutely murders the Hollow Moon theory:

The Moon is flat, just like the Earth.

Is that said in jest?

Heat means Energy , Life or Intelligence.

Your telling me all of the sudden after decades of monitoring the moon , There is some Massive Radioactive heat signature coming from within Her ?

Christ Wake up ! I'm no doom porn bringer but something is coming that is for sure. All of this UFO talk in the Government and sightings all over the world and now this .

Buckle up people.

Science taught me in school the moon is a dead rock. No atmosphere, no volcanos or core, no liquid magma center. Science is of course correct and can never be corrected as that would prove science to have been incorrect prior which as we already know, cannot be.

Could be the engine of the Ark that brought us here , they say it's Granit but that's not set in stone.

Just a thought.

For sure. If the volcano supposedly blew over 3 BILLION years ago and it is just now giving off heat?????

The topography of the area suggests the volcano last erupted about 3.5 billion years ago, so all that molten rock will have cooled and solidified by now into an enormous slab of granite called a batholith

Uhm ok. Granite is hot. jk

Here is a link which is listed along with the OP article which seems to have a lot of data. It isn't printable and is 21 pages and has all those complicated graphs and real data /sarc.

Going to take some time to thoroughly read and process it.

www.nature.com...

And again to BlackProjects, this is really interesting. Thanks.

Or it's the Chinese. Who knows what they're up to on the far side.

I bet its a nuclear reactor, perhaps from a prototype of some sort that we humans crashed there.

Earth is periodically showered with radioactive isotope IRON 60 , with a half life of 2.6 million years, Iron 60 is formed by supernova

Could a meteor/asteroid from interstellar space have crashed on moon? One with large concentration of Iron 60 ?

www.sciencedaily.com...

A number of objects of interstellar origin have bee discovered in recent years
