Remember when Obama said that in order to implement the Green Religion that electricity prices would necessarily skyrocket? Pepperidge Farm Remembers...

How long before electrical rates in the US shoot sky high?

Japan approves up to 42% increase in household electricity prices

www.japantimes.co.jp...

The government will allow seven of Japan’s major power companies to raise household electricity prices from June, a move likely to add to inflation.

The price hikes will be between 14% and 42%, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said in a news conference Tuesday morning. Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, which supplies electricity to the capital, received approval for the smallest rate increase among the regional utilities.

Power companies in the resource-scant nation have been hammered by the global energy crisis as costs for importing fossil fuels surge. Higher electricity bills would fuel upward momentum in prices as the Bank of Japan keeps a close eye on the sustainability of inflation.

Japan utility shares jumped after the measure, with Tepco up as much as 3.9%. Hokuriku Electric Power, which will boost rates the most of its rivals, surged 5.8% to the highest intraday level in two years.

Reducing the electrical supply while forcing consumers to rely on electric. Diabolical.

I can see this as part of the build-up to the OWO where we'll all own nothing and be happy. People are slowly being priced out of their ability to afford housing with ever-increasing rent and utilities. I can't see how a depression can be avoided, the way things are going.

A world government can sweep in once they've squeezed people to the last drop of their ability to exist without help and 'save' what's left of humanity, taking ownership of all property and deciding who gets to live where, etc., etc.

TPTB are hitting us in the pocketbook and taking away our ability to make enough money to eek out a living. By the time it hits the upper-income level earners who are convinced we're just in a bad spell that will pass, it's going to be too late for any push-back to be effective.

My God,

Is there anyone left with a brain that cannot see what they are going to do to us?

Starvation, blackouts, plagues.... all their CHOICE to do to us.....

And half these fools still vote for it.

Under the rules proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency, nearly all of the U.S.'s coal and large gas plants would have to reduce or capture almost all — 90% — of their carbon dioxide emissions by 2038 or be forced to retire.

Just think about that, a 90% cut in natural gas and coal.
I personally think this might amount to a Darwins law
type of ending where all of the obtuse freeze, and starve.

Oh well!

In my state we've seen at least a 200 percent increase in the last three years.

Summer is coming, we don't even have AC and the electric bill is 200 a month, up from 75 a few years ago... solar is starting to look affordable

Yes, you are right.
What had happen when Obama was President, the USA insurance companies wanted to break into the Japanese market. Well, Japan Post was govt. run and sold insurance. Guess what, Obama through ( most likely some kind of black mail ) got the japanese govt. to sell the Japan Post ( our postal system here ) to private company and now can sell American insurance in Japan and other American insurances.
And yes, we just had a 14% increase of electricity here. Overall, we got as home owners find a way to generate our own electricity, screw these companies.

Not sure where you're getting your information from. California is not "pulling back" on solar or wind energy, for that matter. A year ago we ran entirely on renewable energy for a while:

www.earthday.org...#:~:text=June%2010%2C%202022,were%20able%20to%2 0reach%2099.9%25.

The solar power rebates are going down because solar energy is already cheaper than other sources and doesn't need as much incentive.

We're on track to make the goal of completely renewable energy by 2045:

Nothing you posted refutes the data I posted.

Boomer.

Starting April 15, new buyers will earn a much smaller credit for each kilowatt of electricity they feed back to the grid - 75% smaller, according to the California Solar and Storage Association.Apr 15, 2023

75% SMALLER

You do the math.

What are our options?

We are so far in debt and steady digging the hole deeper.

How do we get out, when we keep raising the debt ceiling, and borrowing money that that we don't have?

The only way out is to go with nothing, or to start a war.

To the victor goes the spoils.

If we lose we lose everything. If we win, we have to start from the bottom up.

We will have to rebuild from scratch.

Just my opinion.

What debt?

You mean the Fed types money into an account and says we have x trillion more?

Where did the Fed get this money? They didn't, they just typed it in an account.

Oh, we have foreign debt, the Chinese bought bonds or T bills? With what, money their central bank typed into an account and says you have more magic money?

Debt requires something tangible be exchanged.

So what is that?

The land that was here before we were born and will be here after we are gone? Or us?

Each of us from the time we are born to the time we die, and our children, and our children's children?

Cost of choosing to be ruled.

Proposed EPA Rules Threaten Power Grid By Shutting Down Coal And Natural Gas Power Plants, Critics Say: The EPA released its proposed carbon pollution standards Thursday, which put restrictions on power plants for how much carbon dioxide they can emit, as well as pollutants such as nitrogen oxide and sulfur dioxide.
If the rules become final, it will be the first time the agency has limited greenhouse gas emissions on existing power plants.
To comply with the regulations, almost all coal- and natural-gas fired power plants will need to capture their carbon dioxide emissions or shut down by 2038.
