Yandex what is it

Of course nothing is private no longer on the computer once plugged into the internet. But what is Yandex all about ?
Thanks for any advice on this. Is it a browser also ?

I think so, as far as I can tell. Yandex offers search, email, various other things. I used their email service to make a throwaway email some time ages ago. That's pretty much my experience with them.

The 'Spandex' version of a search engine.



Really, it is a Russian online search aggregator and advertising platform.

I remember that people said you could use it to look up overpriced listings on Wayfair, and find photos of young girls. The whole thing reeked of human trafficking, but we were told that there was nothing to see here.

I still have several unanswered questions about that whole ordeal.

Yep. I use it to find political & military photo's that Google hides.

It appears the little guy has a big friend...


But street view...You sit outside the office on a work call because it's a nice warm sunny day. Suddenly, you notice a robot idling nearby at shin level. Is it just waiting for someone to pick up a salad?

Should you lower your voice? Who knows. You don't.
